Shopping On Sunday

My personal belief of Sabbath worship includes not shopping on Sunday. Some of my new couponing friends have the same policy and have found that because most the sales start on Sunday there are times that when you get to the store on Monday and the sale items are already gone. That doesn't mean that you can't get the deals. Try some of these ideas.

1. CVS, Target and Kroger are good at giving you rain checks. For CVS this means they will even give you the ECB's if the item isn't restocked until after the sale is over. Walgreens will give you a rain check but only for the price of the item not for the RR's.

2. If you get to the store and the sale items is gone you can ask customer service 1. to check the back room and 2. when they expect to get more in. Most of the stores get shipments throughout the week. If they tell you that something will be in on Thursday, call them first before you go back to the store. With three young kids I do a lot of research online and by phone before I do my shopping to keep frustration levels as low as possible. Especially in the summer time. Youza!

3. If the store has a website that let's you order online try that. I have ordered sale items from Staples online with free shipping and still been able to use the rebates. Make sure the sale is not in store only! If you want to use a coupon you usually have to use it in the store unless the coupon specifically says it can be used online and gives you a code to use at checkout.

3. Ask customer service to see if any other store locations have the item in stock. If you are a techy person then open up your iPhone and find the number to another location close by and call yourself.

4. I truly believe that for anyone following their religious beliefs there are blessings that come with obedience. If you need something pray for a way to find it. It's not hokey. Think of it as being a good steward over the financial resources you have been blessed with. The more you share you rewards with others, the more you will be amazed at the good deeds that are returned to you. Sharing your coupon knowledge will mean more couponers and more competition for the sale items. But more prepared and knowledgeable families means more people confident and self assured because they have been able to help themselves.
